After earning my bachelor’s in computer science, I transitioned to a product marketing role through campus placement, gaining over two years of marketing experience. Wanting to deepen my marketing skills, I researched MS in Marketing programs and found The University of Texas at Dallas’s tailored curriculum focused on marketing management and analytics. The program offered excellent experiential learning opportunities, including industry collaborations and hands-on experience tackling real-world marketing challenges. Moreover, the university’s diverse and multicultural student community resonated with me. Learning alongside peers from varied backgrounds and cultures has enriched my educational journey and better prepared me for the globalized business landscape.

Having worked for two years in marketing, returning to study for an MS in Marketing at JSOM has helped me strengthen my foundational concepts and learn relevant current market skills. The program’s flexibility in allowing students to choose their tracks provides numerous opportunities. The group projects and interactions have been instrumental in learning the subject practically, and they have also helped me improve my personality and critical thinking. Additionally, you can be assigned a marketing mentor who will guide you on how to choose your subjects and succeed in the real world. Moreover, I have joined clubs like the American Marketing Association and the Project Management Club, where I have had opportunities to meet and learn from professionals who are already excelling in their careers.
