I really enjoyed the marketing program at UT Dallas because they made it a point to have your class requirements be in various subjects. At the time, I didn’t really see the need for finance and sales classes to graduate, but looking back now, I’m so glad those are required because it really does make you a better marketer. Having baseline knowledge (and continuing to learn more) in the fields that you work closely with is super important!

In addition to the classes themselves, I really did enjoy the people I met in the marketing program. I still keep up with a few of my classmates, including some awesome professors! It sounds cliché, but you never know who you’ll run into later in your career and what that might lead to.
